We are seeking a dynamic and committed Head of Special Education Services (HOSES) to join the leadership teams at Moura State School and Moura State High School, with occasional travel to Banana State School.

This is a temporary full-time position, beginning 22 January 2026 and ending 11 December 2026, unless otherwise determined.

Your Responsibilities 

As the Head of Special Education Services, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:  

  • Knowledge of K-12 curriculum and ability to effectively plan teaching/leanring sequences in collaboration with the class teacher to ensure students aree accessing the learning
  • A deep understanding of disabilities
  • Highly-motivated person to join the leadership team and champion the wellbeing, engagement, and success of all students.
  • Wish in making a lasting impact on student's lives and thrive in a collaborative, values-driven school community
  • Mentoring, co-teaching, and coordinating with specialists and organisations to provide support for students are key strategies for helping them thrive both academically and personally
