About us:

Cardiac Services operates as part of the Division of Medicine and includes the following: Cardiac Rehabilitation Outpatient Program, Cardiac Rehabilitation Inpatient Program, Heart Failure Service, Chest Pain Assessment Clinic, Cardiac Investigations, Coronary Care unit, Cardiology Ward and the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory.

About the role:

The Accredited Exercise Physiologist of the Cardiac Rehabilitation / Heart Failure Service Team is responsible for exercise testing, prescribing and supervision. As well as providing health promotion, cardiac education and risk factor screening activities, for patients, in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.

The Accredited Exercise Physiologist relieves in the Chest Pain Assessment Service Cardiac Scientist position when required to meet operational and staff development needs.

About you:

  • Appointee must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in exercise physiology or human movement studies; recognised in Queensland and be an accredited member or eligible for accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $132,567 is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $43.68 - $58.59 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
