The most suitable applicant will demonstrate their applied knowledge, skills and experience against these essential role requirements of the Team leader leadership stream:

  • Ability to develop and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the complex nature and impact of domestic and family violence on victims and of QCS's obligations to support eligible persons through the role of VR.
  • High level interpersonal communication skills and the ability to effectively develop and deliver stakeholder presentations and training and ability to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders with competing interests on sensitive issues.
  • Ability to represent QCS and VR at high level meetings and events with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level written communication skills, particularly the ability to prepare complex and sensitive reports, briefings, policy papers and submissions.
  • High level ability to interpret and apply legislation and procedures as they apply to the criminal justice system and QCS.
  • High level ability to analyse complex information and provide strategic advice to management in relation to victim related issues particularly those related to operations of the QCS Victims Register.
  • Significant experience in mentoring/coaching other team members.
  • Experience working in the criminal justice system and knowledge of the role of QCS and external agencies in the provision of justice services.
