The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Optimisation Lead to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Lead data optimisation initiatives, including training and development, to improve data quality within clinical systems and maximise revenue
- Apply strong communication, consultation, and negotiation skills to build organisational capability in data quality governance and healthcare purchasing models
- Use analytics, process mapping, business case development, and change management to drive operational performance and revenue improvement
- Develop and deliver education sessions to build staff capability in data quality, Activity Based Funding, and Own Source Revenue
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- While not mandatory, a health or science-related degree would be well regarded
- While not mandatory, previous experience working in a large healthcare facility would be well regarded
- While not mandatory, experience and knowledge of clinical information systems particularly HBCIS, ESM and ieMR, Data Quality and Health Information standards
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (up to 12 months with possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $121 360 - $129 998 per annum, $4 651.70 - $4 982.50 per fortnight

The Digital Transformation and Research (DTR) division has been established to drive significant service improvements and digital transformation initiatives, aligned with the strategic objectives outlined in the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Services (GCHHS) Strategic Plan 2028 (G28).
The DTR portfolio consists of a range of interconnected business units and teams, including Research, Digital Experience, Digital Delivery, Technology Operations, Health Information, Information Security, and Cyber Readiness. DTR is responsible for enhancing efficiency and service delivery optimising Health Service performance.
