Ashgrove State School is seeking an experienced and future-focused curriculum leader to join our high-performing team in a temporary Head of Department - Curriculum role.

This position provides an exciting opportunity to lead whole-school curriculum improvement, strengthen teacher capability, and support the successful implementation of the Australian Curriculum Version 9.

  • Lead relevant curriculum areas and whole-school programs to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Support and enhance curriculum planning, assessment, moderation and pedagogy, with a strong focus on V9 implementation.
  • Embed socially just practices and inclusive approaches in daily school life.
  • Set high expectations for staff and student performance and lead ongoing professional learning.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with students, staff, parents, community groups and external agencies.
  • Contribute positively to the leadership team and drive continuous school improvement.
