Bundaberg North State High School is the only secondary school on the north side of the Burnett River in Bundaberg, offering diverse ATAR and non-ATAR pathways within a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

The Business Manager role at Bundaberg North SHS is an exciting opportunity to support the attainment of the school motto “Realise your Potential”. The school has approximately 700 students and a FTE of 65 teachers. Strong improvement in the school opinion survey indicates community confidence that the needs of the Bundaberg North community are being met. As the successful candidate, you will be an integral member of the leadership team. Your creativity, high level financial acumen and strong capacity to build trust with effective relational skills will support further the implementation of the school's strategic plan, leading to continual community confidence.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide high-level leadership across executive and administrative support services and lead diverse support staff teams.
Interpret business plans, analyse operations, and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and service delivery. - Lead human resource functions for support staff including recruitment, induction, workforce planning, performance management and professional development.
- Manage financial planning and reporting, contributing to the development and monitoring of the school's annual budget and ensuring compliance with legislation and departmental policy.
- Oversee facilities and asset management, including coordination of projects, grounds maintenance, and minor works.
- Build strong networks with other Business Managers and community stakeholders to support best-practice corporate service delivery.
- Model departmental leadership competencies that include strategic thinking, innovation, relationship-building, and accountability.
