Your new role:
As the Senior Policy Document Coordinator, you will provide high-level leadership, clinical expertise and strategic coordination across Metro South Health's policy document framework. You'll play a key role in strengthening clinical governance systems, ensuring policies are contemporary, evidence-based and aligned with organisational priorities. Working closely with the Nurse Manager/Advanced Clinical Lead, you will guide best practice policy development, lead key improvement initiatives and support staff capability across the organisation.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and support governance processes for timely policy review and management.
- Coordinate evaluation, monitoring and organisational reporting of clinical policies and procedures.
- Lead implementation of the MSH Policy Framework, including policy rationalisation.
- Support the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical procedures and protocols.
- Promote safe, high-quality, evidence-based practice across MSH.
- Identify and escalate key issues to ensure effective governance and outcomes.
About you:
You are a skilled clinical or health professional with strong governance capability, excellent analytical skills and a passion for improving organisational systems. You demonstrate sound judgement, strong communication and the ability to lead change across complex environments.
You will bring:
- High-level knowledge of legislation, standards and policies relevant to contemporary clinical practice.
- Demonstrated experience in writing, developing and managing policy documents.
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and synthesise complex information.
- Proven ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks, projects and deadlines.
- Experience using document management systems and understanding of legislative requirements for policy management.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to influence operational and cultural change.
- Ability to initiate, plan and evaluate service improvement initiatives.

The MSH Clinical Governance Unit works collaboratively with executives, senior managers, clinical/non-clinical staff and consumers to ensure that MSH has an effective, co-ordinated, organisation-wide approach to quality improvement, clinical effectiveness, healthcare standards, patient safety, patient experience and consumer liaison services. This ensures MSH's approach to clinical governance remains contemporary, consumer focused and based on the best available evidence.
The Governance and Compliance Team provides leadership and support for a range of clinical governance strategy, standards and compliance requirements at an organisational level.
