This is an exciting opportunity within the Duties and Grants Division at Queensland Revenue Office.
Duties and Grants Compliance branch use our specialist knowledge to interpret and apply the relevant legislation to deliver excellent client service and make sound decisions. We conduct risk assessment and compliance activities across multiple duties and grants product lines. Annually, we review the compliance sub-programs and run campaigns to meet QRO's strategic objectives and to improve compliance whilst educating clients of their obligations.
As a Manager, you will lead and and manage a number of team leaders and be responsible for providing advice to senior management regarding divisional activities. You will have a primary role in developing business and system improvements, ensuring staff are skilled and capable, and managing service delivery for the division. You will work directly with internal and external stakeholders and operate with independence, autonomy, and co-operation in leading activities to meet client/stakeholder needs.
Your typical day as a Manager may include:
• Overseeing workloads to ensure delivery within agreed service levels
• Identifying and implementing process improvements through effective change management
• Coaching and developing Team Leaders and staff to build capability and performance
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate outcomes aligned with operational objectives
• Solving complex and novel problems with a focus on consistency, fairness, and regulatory compliance.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
• Proven experience leading multiple high-volume operational teams
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to interpret legislation and operate effectively in a regulated environment
• A commitment to fostering a strong culture and high employee engagement
