The Townsville Hospital and Health Services are seeking an processed driven and highly motivated Enterprise Scheduling Management (ESM) Site Support Specialist to join the Data Quality Unit in Townsville.

This is a temporary full-time role, commencing 23/03/2026 - 31/01/2027, with a possibility of an extension not exceeding 24 months.


The data within the ESM system is crucial to the operational management of the scheduling of patients and resources, both human and financial.

About the opportunity  

The purpose of the position is to provide Site Support to the ieMR Enterprise Scheduling Management (ESM) system and associated components of clinical systems utilised in Townsville Hospital and Health Service, in addition to ensuring timeliness and quality of data.

The Data Quality Unit focus is to maintain the validity, integrity and timeliness of information held within the primary patient information applications, with a focus on HBCIS, and provides advice to all Townsville Hospital and Health Service staff regarding correct procedures regarding data capture. The Unit is responsible for promoting, educating, maintaining, validating and managing data collection and counting activities to enable the Townsville Hospital and Health Service to meet key reporting requirements.  The Data Quality Unit works together to promote and implement activities which are aimed at enhancing data integrity throughout the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $4046.40 - $4402.60 p.f. (AO5)
  • 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • Locality allowance
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

How you will be assessed:

  • Demonstrated experience in the management, administration and technical aspects of the ESM system.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a quality improvement strategy including regular audits of system data and the development of process and procedures to rectify operational problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand service requirements, ensuring service levels remain aligned to the changing business requirements and evolving delivery capabilities.
  • Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including working effectively with individuals, groups and as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, and negotiation, consultation, liaison and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as an advocate in a broad context and across disciplines using positive role modelling and adherence to Townsville HHS values.
