About your role
As a Principal Health Funding Analyst, you will lead complex analytical work, provide expert classification and funding advice, and deliver high-level insights that support strategic decision-making, quality improvement and funding optimisation across Metro South Health.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead complex analysis, quality improvement activities and research to optimise funding outcomes.
- Provide expert ABF and classification advice across a broad range of clinical specialties.
- Produce specialist reports and recommendations to support executive decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Respond to high-level requests for specialised analysis and interpretation of clinical and funding data.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and propose innovative solutions to organisational challenges.
About you
You are a highly experienced funding specialist with strong technical expertise, advanced analytical capability and the ability to influence, advise and collaborate at all levels of a complex tertiary health environment.
You will have:
- Advanced expertise in funding classifications, ABF technical efficiency and tertiary funding optimisation.
- High-level ability to interrogate, analyse and interpret complex casemix and clinical information systems.
- Extensive experience preparing and presenting complex reports, submissions and strategic recommendations.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including negotiation, consultation and the ability to build strong professional relationships.
- Strong planning, organisation and innovative problem-solving skills with a strategic focus.
- Whilst not mandatory, relevant tertiary qualifications, skills or experience in hospital funding, management accounting or clinical costing methodologies and systems would be highly regarded.
