You will be required to provide culturally safe and effective sexual health service delivery and program management that focuses on health promotion, prevention, early detection and management of sexual health problems, HIV and STI’s with men, women and young people in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities with full accountabilities and delegation of a Registered Nurse/CNC to provide a high standard of care to support the delivery of an efficient and effective sexual health programs as part of the Cairns Sexual Health team.

About you:

In your new role you will…… 

  • Delivery of core sexual health care programs such as education, contract tracing, detection, prevention and management and STI screening activities according to the needs of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in a confidential and non-judgemental manner using culturally acceptable strategies.
  • Exercise judgement in deciding how to perform tasks are performed.
  • Manage allocated tasks under direction of Registered Nurse / CNC and work with other to meet deadlines.
