Your new role:
In this temporary full-time position, you will support effective and efficient health information services across Metro South Health by:
- Facilitating timely activity data submissions through monthly and ad-hoc data collections and reporting.
- Investigating and resolving data discrepancies using hospital information systems and audit trails.
- Conducting quality audits, preparing reports, making recommendations and presenting outcomes.
- Supporting Activity Based Funding (ABF) processes through up-to-date knowledge of funding models and coding impacts.
- Assisting the Clinical Coding team during peak periods through quality checks and activity reviews.
- Maintaining current professional knowledge to improve record management, data quality and business processes.
- Supporting service innovation, change management and cohesive team functioning.
About you:
You will be a proactive Health Information professional who brings strong technical skills, collaboration and analytical capability, with:
- Demonstrated experience managing high-quality data and leading data quality improvement activities.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills suitable for multidisciplinary environments.
- Proven ability to plan, develop and deliver training, education and feedback to administrative and clinical teams.
- High-level analytical and problem-solving skills with a logical approach to achieving outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team, leading and motivating others when required.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and deliver accurate outcomes within defined guidelines.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
