Lead a small rural school community in the South Burnett Region.
Windera State School (Prep-Year 6) is seeking a Level 2 Principal for a 0.2 FTE (10-hour) role. This is a temporary part-time position until 26 June 2026, unless otherwise determined.
With around 23 students, this role offers a unique chance to shape highly personalised learning and foster strong relationships across a small and supportive community.
You will guide a highly motivated team who are committed to ensuring that every student succeeds. and help nurture confident, independent and respectful learners.

This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest. Any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

Windera is a rural township of around 105 residents in the South Burnett Region, with the locality extending into both the South Burnett and Gympie regions. Windera State School is a small Prep-Year 6 school known for its caring, nurturing environment and strong community connections.

About the Role
As the Principal, your responsibilities will include:
- Drive a shared vision that achieves strong student outcomes.
- Provide ethical, strategic leadership across the school.
- Embed inclusive, socially just practices.
- Set and maintain high standards for students and staff.
- Build partnerships with parents, agencies, and the community.
- Lead professional growth and oversee school operations.
