Clinical Facilitator (Cancer Care)

As a Clinical Facilitator, you’ll support a diverse unit including a 16-chair Day Therapy Unit, 10-room outpatient clinic, specialised oncology pharmacy, Allied Health team and CNCs delivering care across Medical Oncology, Haematology, Radiation Oncology and Palliative Care. In this role, you’ll drive evidence-based education, develop staff capability, maintain advanced oncology skills, and collaborate with the NUM and Nurse Educator to build a strong learning culture.

About us:

The Cancer Ambulatory Service has:

  • 16-chair/bed Day Therapy Unit (DTU) that provides chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive therapies to patients with a diagnosis of cancer.
  • 10 room outpatient clinic area delivering care to patients with a diagnosis of cancer as well as patients requiring palliative care.
  • A specialised pharmacy dedicated to the specific cohort of patients within this service.
  • A specialised Allied Health team.
  • Dedicated Clinical Nurse Consultant's (CNC's) who deliver care to the specific cohort within this service.

About the role:

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of solid tumour disease and treatment processes.
  • Demonstrate a sound level of contemporary educational knowledge and skills that support the delivery of evidence based clinical education and training activities.
  • Display a high level of interpersonal and communication skills that support the planning, delivery and evaluation of cancer care clinical education and training for nursing staff.
  • Implement and comply with procedures, policies, regulations, and standards which impact upon the position including contemporary Human Resource Management requirements and practices, Workplace Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity, and Anti-discrimination policies.

About you:

  • Current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A relevant postgraduate certificate or post graduate diploma is an expectation of this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of the performance and development plan.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $131,900 is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
