Senior Project Officer
Resources Energy Infrastructure and Partnerships; Coordinator General; Flexible - Brisbane or Townsville

You will facilitate major projects for government, leveraging the CG’s powers to drive development and ensure lasting benefits to our regions.

• Complete technical research and evaluation to advise on and deliver environmental and social impact assessments under the State Development and Public Works Organisation Act 1971 and Strong and Sustainable Resource Communities Act 2017, for a range of complex and diverse projects that drive economic development and infrastructure initiatives.
• Provide strategic, solutions-focused technical advice within teams and to proponents to support statutory processes and mitigate risks, enabling the timely delivery of major projects aligned with strategic initiatives.
• Prepare timely and well-researched briefings, reports and correspondence on sensitive and complex issues, and contribute to policy review and Cabinet submissions relevant to resource projects.
• Support complex negotiations with stakeholders to achieve the government's strategic goals and integrate economic and infrastructure objectives with desired environmental, social and industry outcomes.
• Build sustained relationships with key government stakeholders to support facilitation, assessment and delivery of reform and major projects.
• Contribute and nurture the positive and inclusive culture of the Office of the Coordinator-General.
