About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated and dynamic Student Support Officer at Miami State High School. As the Student Support Officer, you will play a vital role in enhancing student wellbeing and academic outcomes through collaboration with students, families, and staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build and sustain positive relationships with students, parents, community, and elders, providing input into local decision-making to ensure optimum outcomes.
- Liaise with families and conduct home visits to encourage school attendance and motivate students.
- Recognise and address educational, social, emotional, or behavioural issues among students.
- Monitor student behaviour and wellbeing, identifying issues and organising intervention strategies.
- Lead initiatives to foster a positive, caring, and supportive environment for students, families, and community members.
This role would suit someone passionate about student wellbeing, community engagement, and creating innovative solutions to support educational outcomes.
