About the role
As a Clinical Nurse, you will deliver advanced, specialised nursing care within Drug and Alcohol Services. You'll provide leadership, work independently, and support a multidisciplinary team to achieve best-practice outcomes for patients and the community.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver skilled assessments, treatment, and withdrawal support.
- Provide compassionate, culturally responsive, person-centred care.
- Support key programs like Opioid Dependence Treatment and NSP.
- Lead clinical decision-making and guide the team on shift.
- Drive service improvements through audits and change initiatives.
- Mentor, teach, and support students and nursing staff.
- Contribute to research and evidence-based practice.
- Uphold Queensland Health standards and safe care practices.

Requirements
- Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
