Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant (Co-Responder), you will bring advanced clinical expertise to support safe and effective mental health crisis responses across the community. Working in partnership with Queensland Police Service (QPS), Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) and MSAMHS teams. You will:
- Deliver advanced mental health assessment, rapid intervention and person-centred care during crisis responses.
- Provide clinical leadership, consultancy and expert advice across the Co-Responder service.
- Collaborate with QPS, QAS, Team Leaders and multidisciplinary teams to enhance integrated crisis care.
- Lead quality improvement, education, and evidence-based practice initiatives supporting high-quality patient outcomes.
About you:
You are a highly skilled mental health nursing professional who brings advanced clinical judgement, strong autonomy and a passion for improving crisis care outcomes. Your leadership supports safe, compassionate and evidence-based practice. You will bring:
- Advanced mental health nursing expertise, including comprehensive assessment, critical thinking and crisis intervention skills.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership, with the ability to influence practice, guide teams and support integrated care.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with QPS, QAS and multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement and delivering safe, person-centred care.
