Key Responsibilities:
Assist to provide advice, analysis and guidance to the Treasurer and shareholding Ministers, Treasury senior management, other agencies and major stakeholders on issues related to the:
− Financial and non-financial performance, investment decision making, pricing, regulation, and business development opportunities for Government-owned businesses.
− Market and industry reforms affecting the energy, water, transport and financial industry sectors.
Apply commercial and/or policy and governance frameworks in providing advice and ensure alignment with Government priorities and objectives.
Participate in building and fostering lasting relationships within Treasury, other departments, GOCs and industry to further the work of GPG.
Assist with GPG's input into the State Budget process, including the Mid-YearReview and presentations to external agencies.
Represent GPG and Treasury at meetings, committees and interdepartmental working groups.
Prepare reports, Cabinet and Parliamentary material, submissions, briefing notes, presentations, and correspondence.
Key policy/subject matter areas include energy (energy transition, renewable energy projects, hydrogen, energy markets and pricing), water (major projects, pricing, water security) and transport policy.
Your Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills will make you successful in this role.
Experience in key policy/subject matter areas including energy, water, or transport sectors will be highly regarded.
