About us:
Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS) provides specialist care across Rockhampton, the Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, the Central Highlands and the Banana region, supporting more than 250,000 people. Our Acute Care Team delivers 24/7 mental health triage and acute response, collaborating closely with inpatient and community teams to provide safe, compassionate and recovery-oriented care.
About the role:
- Deliver timely, evidence-based mental health triage and assessment.
- Work collaboratively with consumers, carers, referral partners and multidisciplinary teams.
- Apply discipline-specific expertise to support safe decision-making and recovery.
- Practise independently within professional, ethical and legislative frameworks.
- Support continuous improvement, education and service development initiatives.
- Complete accurate documentation and uphold service and clinical standards.
About you:
- You hold the mandatory qualifications and registrations relevant to your profession (see role description):
- Occupational Therapy
- Psychology
- Social Work
- Registered Nurse
- You bring clinical skills in mental health assessment, prioritisation and triage.
- You communicate with empathy, clarity and respect in fast-paced situations.
- You work confidently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- You value professional growth and contribute to teaching, supervision or peer learning.
- You are committed to recovery-focused, culturally safe and person-led care.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $132,567 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.59 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
