Seeking expressions of interest for future opportunities over the next 12 months. As part of the talent pool, you may be offered casual or temporary full time or part time opportunities that become available based on the order of merit. A pool will generally continue for a 12-month period. If you are placed in the talent pool you may be offered a position within the relevant time period, however your appointment to a position is not guaranteed.
Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership in the delivery of specialist addiction services, supporting clients with complex care needs across Metro South Health.
- Deliver expert assessment, care planning and specialised nursing interventions for consumers with substance use disorders, ensuring person-centred, evidence-based practice.
- Provide clinical leadership to nursing and multidisciplinary staff, including mentoring, delegation and education to support high-quality care.
- Coordinate and manage care in complex situations, contributing to service procedures, quality improvement, EMR documentation and risk minimisation strategies.
- Support and participate in portfolio responsibilities across clinical care, education, research, and National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
About you:
You are an experienced and capable nurse who brings advanced clinical judgement, leadership, and a commitment to high-quality addiction care within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, critical thinking and problem-solving skills in addiction nursing and complex care management.
- Proven ability to lead and support teams, build strong relationships, and contribute to systems, change management, and safe workplace culture.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development, evidence-based practice, education of others, and participation in research and quality initiatives.
- High standards of professionalism, communication, accountability, and person-centred care, aligned with Metro South Health values.
