About the role

The role of Mental Health Clinician conducts mental health assessment, psychological treatment and recovery support to consumers with a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder accessing mental health services from the Living Well Team in West Moreton Health. The Mental Health Clinician also collaborates with others to provide clinical leadership by offering advice on assessment, treatment options and risk management as required.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrated clinical practice and expertise in a relevant discipline to conduct triage, clinical assessment and intervention in an acute environment within the current legislative and policy context.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and provide independent professional judgement and expertise in problem solving and clinical management of a complex caseload, without immediate clinical practice from a more senior clinician.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate at a work unit/service area level and/or across professions to ensure effective service delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply quality assurance processes including participation in ongoing professional development opportunities and clinical supervision.
  • Proven ability in the application of highly developed interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation and communication skills.
