About the opportunity
The Clinical Midwife - Maternity Management Support provides advanced clinical, operational, and leadership support to the Midwifery Unit Managers within Maternity Services.
This role contributes to the effective coordination of nursing and midwifery workforce resources, supports clinical governance and quality improvement activities, and promotes high-quality, woman-centred care aligned with the values and strategic direction of Queensland Health and Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
PLEASE NOTE - This is a permanent full-time role.

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $4138.10 - $4431.10 p.f. (NG6-1)
- 5 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading

- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.
- Highly Desirable:
- Possession of or working towards a relevant postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
- Working knowledge of a range of software packages used in the clinical and management environment, e.g., IWFM, ieMR, Microsoft Windows, Excel, Access, and Power Point.
- Desirable: clinical skills in IV cannulation, water immersion in labour and waterbirth, perineal suturing and speculum examination.
- Driver Licence: This position requires the applicant to possess an appropriate license to operate a Class C (car) motor vehicle. Verification of license must be provided prior to commencement of duty.
- This is a VPD risk role.
