About us:
The Specialist Outpatients Department (SOPD) spans 3 levels of the Rockhampton Hospital covering 9 major specialties – Cardiology, Dermatology, ENT, General Surgery, General Medicine, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics and Urology. There are various other visiting specialties including Pacemaker clinic, Respiratory clinic, Sarcoma clinic, Adult Congenital Heart Disease outreach clinic as well as Telehealth clinics e.g. Inflammatory Bowel Disease clinic.
About the role:
A Clinical Nurse (CN) is a Registered Nurse (RN) who is accountable at an advanced level for the coordination of clinical practice delivered in a clinical specialty. This position provides leadership and support to nursing and medical staff and supports the delivery of competent, best practice quality nursing care, while working in collaboration with the line manager of the unit. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for portfolio management with focus on clinical care/leadership, management and education.
About you:
- Current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- A relevant postgraduate certificate or post graduate diploma is an expectation of this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of the performance and development plan.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $105,519 is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
