About us:

Psychology impacts upon a range of psychological, emotional, and behavioural difficulties to improve health and well-being across the lifespan. Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service offers a comprehensive psychology service to support patients through their acute hospital admission, recovery following discharge, and/or when accessing specialist outpatient services. Our Psychologists work with a range of populations including paediatrics, adults and older adults in hospital and community facilities across Gladstone, Biloela, Emerald, Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton regions.

About the role:

The Senior Psychologist provides high level, evidence-based psychological assessment, and intervention across a range of inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings across Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast and Mount Morgan, including the Child Development Service (CDS).  The Psychologist Senior delivers high quality, integrated clinical psychology services within a multidisciplinary team to children with complex developmental needs and their families, as well as Hospital and Health Service patients who develop emotional, behavioural, and/or cognitive issues secondary to their medical condition, illness, or injury; or where emotional, behavioural, and/or cognitive issues are impacting on their healthcare engagement and recovery.

About you:

  • General registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) / Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate is mandatory for this position.
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and/or registration or membership with the appropriate association within Australia.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, or Health Psychology at the Masters/Doctorate level or PsyBA area of practice endorsement in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, or Health Psychology would be highly regarded, as would PsyBA approved supervisor status.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $13,113 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $64.64 - $69.55 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
