About the Team

The Strategy and Transformation Division is a dynamic support function that leads and enables critical strategic and transformation initiatives across the HHS and broader statewide paediatric network. We are a team that encourages creativity, critical thinking and a growth mindset and apply evidence-based methodologies across the complex healthcare context.

About the Role

  • Lead the design and delivery of complex projects aligned with CHQ's strategic priorities.
  • Apply advanced health service planning, healthcare improvement, innovation and/or project management methodologies to design, implement, and oversee complex initiatives with defined deliverables and timelines. Lead the development of robust project documentation, data analysis, risk management, and performance reporting to ensure strategic alignment and effective delivery across CHQ.
  • Oversee governance, risk, reporting and documentation to ensure strategic alignment and delivery confidence.
  • Maintain awareness of CHQ, State and Federal reform agendas to ensure relevance and responsiveness.
  • Source and interpret research, complex data and environmental scanning to guide service planning, project design and decision-making.
  • Lead the development of implementation strategies, change management approaches, outcome frameworks and tailored evaluation approaches that measure impact and value.
  • Oversee benefits tracking and reporting to inform future investment and continuous improvement.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and document lessons learned to build organisational capability.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and communication strategies to support co-design and implementation.
  • Initiate and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable collaboration and strategic alignment.
  • Develop and present clear, compelling reports and insights to inform senior leadership and executive decisions.
  • Champion a high-performance culture that supports leadership development, wellbeing and strategic impact.
  • Mentor and coach staff to build transformation and innovation capability across CHQ.
  • Promote health equity and inclusion across all projects, with a focus on outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people.
