About us:
Physiotherapy provides assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic interventions to help people recover from injury or illness or to support developmental assessment. The interventions include exercise programs to improve mobility, strength, exercise capacity and functional ability, therapy interventions to reduce pain and stiffness, airway clearance strategies to improve lung function, muscle re training and therapy for developmental growth. The Physiotherapy Service delivers care in cancer/lymphoedema, palliative care, cardiorespiratory, intensive care, emergency department, gerontology, musculoskeletal, neurological, orthopaedic, pelvic health and paediatric specialty areas.
About the role:
The Director of Physiotherapy at Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) provides strategic and operational leadership for Physiotherapy services across Central Queensland, ensuring alignment with both health service and state-wide priorities.
They oversee Physiotherapists and support staff in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care across diverse healthcare settings, including hospitals, community services, and aged care. Additionally, they drive multidisciplinary collaboration, lead Allied Health initiatives, and advocate for the advancement of Physiotherapy services within Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service and across the state.
About you:
- Mandatory possession of a Physiotherapy qualification from a registered tertiary institution.
- Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.
- While not mandatory, a postgraduate qualification in relevant field would be well regarded.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $190,788 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $81.47 - $84.33 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
