About the work unit / facility:

The Interim Bed Unit is a 10-bed facility co-located within the grounds of Eventide Residential Aged Care Facility, operating under the Rural Hospitals Service Group (RHSG). It is specifically designed to support long-stay patients who are on a residential aged care pathway. The unit delivers a multidisciplinary model of care focused on maintaining or improving functional independence, including mobility, personal care, continence, medication management, nutrition, and chronic disease self-management. This unit plays a vital transitional role, ensuring patients receive appropriate support while awaiting permanent placement in residential aged care.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $82,753 to $106,144 p.a. (NG5)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity:

Provide high-quality services that meet the needs of patients with complex conditions. In addition to delivering direct patient care, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for offering support, education, and guidance to patients, their families, and members of the multidisciplinary team. This includes promoting best practice in rehabilitation and ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care.

These positions are based in Charters Towers. There are permanent full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position. Registration with AHPRA.
  • Possession of class C drivers' licence is highly desirable.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • A probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted, including criminal history clearance, Aged Care Clearance and NDIS screening.
