The Director, Policy and Integrity leads the development and provision of high quality and timely advice and support on policy and public administration matters; provides secretariat support to key Premier’s portfolio entities; and supports senior management to manage customer complaints, public interest disclosures and corrupt conduct matters.

We are looking for an exceptional leader with demonstrated high level experience in policy and public administration matters and delivery of government priorities, a strong understanding of the Queensland system of government and high level communication and analytical skills.

About us
Policy and Integrity sits within Governance and Integrity in DPC, which provides policy and operational advice and support to the Premier, Director- General, senior management and where relevant, all government departments in relation to: policy and integrity matters; executive government; and establishment of, and appointments to government bodies.

How you'll contribute
In this varied and intellectually stimulating role, you will make your mark by:
• leading a small and fast paced team in the development of policies, procedures and statutory reform and provision of advice on a broad range of complex policy and public administration matters
• providing high level policy advice and research and secretariat support for portfolio entities such as the Queensland Independent Remuneration Tribunal
• supporting the DPC Customer Complaints and Public Interest Disclosure Coordinator to respond to complaints matters
• establishing strategic partnerships and maintaining effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• fostering a positive workplace where health, safety and wellbeing is promoted and prioritised and government priorities are delivered. 

What you'll bring to the role
We are looking for an exceptional leader who has:
• demonstrated high level experience in policy and public administration matters and delivery of government priorities
• a strong understanding of the Queensland system of government, including Parliament, Cabinet and Executive Council
• high-level written and oral communication skills and exceptional analytical skills.
