Arts Queensland (AQ), now part of Department of Education, is looking for a permanent AO8 Senior Manager, Partnerships and Investment (P&I) North team to come and join us.

The Senior Manager will provide strategic guidance and leadership to a team of Partnership Managers, external clients, and service providers across Regional Queensland.

The position leverages the value of the arts in regional communities, leads social impact initiatives and brokers sustainable partnerships with key stakeholders and clients.

The position can be Cairns, Rockhampton, or Townsville depending on suitable candidate's location preference.

Arts Queensland is looking for a permanent flexible full-time AO8 Senior Manager, P&I North to work with us.

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a strong understanding of community needs and dynamics
  • Have a proven ability to manage people and programs ideally in a public sector, not-for-profit or community organisation
  • Be client focused with a drive for progressing work tasks and identifying solutions
  • Model culturally safe and effective service delivery
  • Be able to undertake intrastate travel as required for this role

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and manage relationships with funded organisations (for profit and not-for-profit), private sector organisations and industry groups that maximise the impact of Government investment in regional arts across Queensland.
  • Manage and support staff in the delivery of funding programs, service delivery contracts, evaluation, reporting and acquittal processes to deliver objectives of specific Investment programs and Queensland's Time to Shine a new 10-year strategy.
  • Design innovative approaches and strategically apply commercial acumen to identify and pursue new opportunities and investments that will drive regional development priorities.
  • Broker and build productive and mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders across all levels of Government, and a diversity of leaders within communities and industry to contribute to sustainable partnerships that will grow the State's regional arts and cultural sector and foster a strong community of arts.
  • Conduct high level and conceptual research, analysis and problem solving to prepare clear, concise, and evidence-based reports that inform future strategy and policy and business cases for regional arts development and sustainability.
  • Lead the Regional Arts Development Fund and Regional Arts Services Network including relationship management and capacity building with regional arts leaders.
  • Develop and lead regional initiatives that leverage the Arts and Culture Sector through both government and non-government partnerships.
  • Monitor, develop and report on strategy performance using stakeholder feedback and insight.
