The Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) Department is responsible to support the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (HHS) facilitation of safe, effective, and sustainable healthcare services through the best practice delivery of:
- Asset and critical infrastructure management functions and capability
- Asset maintenance functions and capability
- Minor works/project development and delivery

- Salary range: $90,832 to $98,377 p.a. (TO3)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

About your opportunity
The Electronics Technician will:
- Undertake such electronics work as may be required in construction and maintenance of buildings, plant and equipment within Townville Hospital and Health Service.
- Comply with all relevant legislation and Queensland Health policy.
Requirements:
- Possession of a diploma, advanced diploma or agreed equivalent from an Australian University, Registered Training Organisation (e.g., Trade Certificate coupled with further training and/or relevant experience), or an overseas qualification deemed equivalent by the Australian Government and/or relevant registration body.
- Restricted Electrical Licence (QLD).
- Licence to Operate Vehicle: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
- Aged Care Pre-Employment Screening: Applicants are advised this position works in an identified Aged Care Facility as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and therefore requires employees and volunteers to have a current National Police Certificate. Queensland Health will facilitate applicants obtaining the National Police Certificate.
