The Senior Project and Change Officer manages ICT platform uplift projects and associated communication activities ensuring all objectives are met in an accurate and timely manner.

What you will do

In the Senior Project and Change Officer role, you will work on ICT application uplift projects including the project management and change management from the aspect of the business user. This will include:

  • Preparing project plans, reports, briefings and correspondence, including critical project information such as milestones, as needed for senior officers, management, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identifying risks and issues and developing mitigation strategies to manage or resolve issues as pertaining to project, logistics or ICT solutions.
  • Coordinating and overseeing user acceptance testing (UAT) activities, including developing test plans, defining acceptance criteria, training users, and ensuring thorough testing to validate that new systems, processes, or changes meet business requirements and user expectations before go-live.
  • Identifying and mapping key internal and external stakeholders and developing tailored communication plans. This includes designing and delivering clear, consistent communication materials while also implementing change management strategies to support the smooth adoption of new processes, systems, and technologies across impacted business units.
  • Developing, maintaining critical relationships with partners, stakeholders and service providers for the purpose of achieving and sustaining high level outcomes.
  • Promote an effective working culture by capturing and sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues to develop a sense of collaboration among team members.

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills and an ability to coordinate multiple tasks within agreed priorities, timeframes, and accountabilities. Experience in a project and change environment, including scheduling, risk management, reporting, and an ability to coordinate the delivery of work packages would be advantageous.

The preferred candidate will have knowledge of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools (preferably Agile or Prince2Agile) as well as communication tools (preferably Vision6.
