Join Queensland Treasury's Commercial team as a Principal Commercial Analyst on a contract until June 2028 and play a vital role in delivering major strategic policy and infrastructure initiatives. In this role, you will:
• Deliver commercial and financial advice to support government priorities in the resources and energy sector.
• Evaluate major projects, providing analysis of drivers, risks, and strategic opportunities.
• Draft high-quality briefs and funding requests for resources and energy initiatives.
• Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure collaborative project delivery success.
• Coordinate input into whole-of-government activities and responses related to the resources industry.
• Build and leverage networks within resources and energy sectors to inform advice and initiatives.
What experience you will bring:
• Proven ability to engage and manage stakeholders effectively.
• Experience producing high-quality, independent commercial advice to support decision-making.
• Strong skills in project management, ensuring objectives are met efficiently.
• Ability to distil complex commercial concepts into clear, actionable insights.
• Solid understanding of Queensland's resources and energy projects.
• Background in resources, business, or government roles with demonstrated expertise in analysing financial models and documents.
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
