As our Principal Policy Officer - Responsive Coordination, you will: 
• Guide and manage the Programs evaluation and response to priority one detections in accordance with Program protocols, with particular attention to:
o Implementing the first phase of the response and information gathering to inform future response.
o Analysis of data to ensure accuracy, to determine the future response and budget.
o Reporting back to NFAEP Senior Leadership and relevant governance committees.
• Supervise the delivery of key responsive capabilities (Direct Nest Injection and Odor Detection Dog) to ensure prompt and efficient delivery of these functions.
• Collaborate across the Program to ensure responsive capabilities respond to identified high risk detections in accordance with key Program deliverables. This will require a demonstrated understanding of treatment and surveillance protocols, stakeholder management and customer relations, amongst other key skills.
• Negotiate and communicate with a broad range of stakeholder groups to guide responses to priority one detections. 
• Provide timely reports to Program governance committees on progress of responses to priority one detections and key functions of the Program's responsive capabilities.
• Provide technical advice to stakeholders on the effective treatment of fire ants including risk mitigation, surveillance, treatment and reporting.
• Provide advice to the Director Specialist Operations in respect to optimising the key responsive capabilities for the Program.
• Undertake risk and issue identification, assessment and mitigation activities ensuring risks and issues are documented and escalated along with recommendations.

You may also have
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or relevant transferable experience would be desirable.
