The Ministerial Services IT team is looking for someone who thrives on solving problems, building relationships, and delivering results. We provide IT services to the Premier, Ministers, and their teams, and the Office of the Leader of the Opposition
prioritising excellence and high performance.

As part of the Ministerial Services IT team, you'll play a key role in delivering high quality IT support to VIP and Ministerial Services customers. This is your chance to join our Service Desk team - solving complex challenges, and contributing to the success of the Queensland government.
This role is based full time onsite at 1 William Street, Brisbane City, and requires after-hours on-call participation and intra-state travel.
What you'll bring to the role:
Your relevant experience and your ability to:
• Demonstrated experience in an IT Service Desk Officer role including all facets of IT Service Desk operations
• Well-developed customer service skills and VIP customer support experience with a customer-first focus
• Demonstrated experience in a dynamic and busy IT work environment with a proven ability to meet conflicting deadlines
• Demonstrated IT critical thinking skills
• Advanced computer support and deployment experience in Windows environment including Active Directory, EntraID, Group Policy, Print, Email services within a cloud-based environment
• Experience operating within an ITIL aligned environment
• Software patching and deployment experience
• Smart Device and IP telephony management
What you'll bring to the role
You'll draw on your good working knowledge of IT Service Desk operations, understanding and ability to communicate at all levels to manage and resolvecomplex issues and provide solutions to support our VIP customer base. This is an onsite role at 1 William Street, Brisbane City and requires participation in an on-call IT support roster. The role will require some after hours work and intra-state travel from time to time. A relevant tertiary qualification in an IT discipline, or a related field would be highly regarded.
