About the Team
The Queensland Paediatric Rehabilitation Service, Children's Health Queensland, is a Specialist Rehabilitation Medicine Service which operates under a statewide model and includes:
- Neurorehabilitation Programs
- Limb Difference Program
- Cerebral Palsy Health (CP Health)
- Queensland Cerebral Palsy and Rehabilitation Research Centre
About the Role
In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:
Clinical Practice
- Deliver core clinical neuropsychology services to patients of QPRS with complex rehabilitation needs or complex medical/surgical conditions, and their families in a tertiary paediatric hospital, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
- As experience builds, apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision making, under the clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of a more senior clinician.
Communication/Team Participation
- Work cooperatively and effectively within the neuropsychology and the interdisciplinary team of QPRS to achieve best outcomes for patients.
Leadership/Professional Development
- Provides clinical practice supervision to less experienced practitioners, work experience students or those involved in observational clinical placements; and provides direction to assistant and support staff, under guidance of senior clinical practitioners.
