About the Division
The Operations Division manages the effective delivery of QRA managed funding programs, including responsibility for overseeing the successful delivery of joint State and Commonwealth Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) and resilience funded projects by State and Local Government agencies.
About the Role
- Forecast, plan and monitor the successful delivery of QRA's funding programs. This includes but is not limited to identifying and implementing risk management strategies to meet diverse stakeholder needs, while providing considered advice and contribution to the Divisional leadership direction.
- Undertake operational planning in collaboration with Divisional Leadership and QRA staff to drive a high performing team that has the skills and capabilities to meet business critical needs and emerging initiatives, including team training, learning and development.
- Work in partnership across QRA to identify and drive a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement that facilitates the ongoing identification, development and implementation of best practice business processes and tools required to realise efficiencies and continue to meet control measures and funding requirements.
- Endorse/approve assessments under relevant funding requirements and control systems, providing advice (where required) to build individual capability and ensure effective delivery of specified programs of work.
- Undertake training and capability development of all Assessments Team staff responsible for assessing DRFA and non DRFA submission types.
- Undertake related projects and other duties of equivalent complexity as required, including assisting with and coordinating QRA internal and state government projects and programs aligned with QRA's strategic objectives and operational planning.
- Lead teams to deliver strategic and operational objectives utilising your expertise, experience and judgement in accordance with QRA policies and processes.
- Undertake regular one-on-one and group discussions with Team Leaders/team members and situational awareness meetings with team area (minimum monthly).
- Facilitate Performance Development Agreement discussions and reviews with direct reports, setting clear expectations, addressing any HR related matters, performance or development issues, ensuring appropriate administration of entitlements and ownership by both parties.
- Act as an escalation point for complex/contentious issues, briefing Divisional Leadership on the status of tasks, risk mitigation and issue escalation as required.
- Provide responsive action to ad hoc requests by Leadership to ensure accurate and information is readily available.
- Employ clear and succinct communication, in ways that resonate with different individuals, facilitate team goals, and helps build rapport across work groups.
- Build effective partnerships, liaising with and encouraging input from key stakeholders and representing QRA both internally and externally.
- This role may be required to travel within Queensland on occasion to meet with stakeholders.
