Information Release Officer
Right To Information & Privacy Services; Legal Division; Specialist Operations; Brisbane City
As a member of the Queensland Police Service Subpoena Team, you will contribute to the administration of justice, in both Queensland and Australia, through the provision of information to various courts and tribunals. The team is the authorised delegate to accept service of summonses and subpoenas and other formal notices to produce records on behalf of the Commissioner of Police.

Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
• Identify and analyse complex information release issues and recommend and implement acceptable solutions.
• Undertake the processing of subpoenas and information requests from the Family Courts, other courts and Tribunals as required.
• Ensure the provision of, access to and the release of information is in accordance with Queensland Police Service policies and procedures and current legislative provisions and agreed service levels.
• Contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of policies, procedures and performance standards to ensure they reflect best practice and support a compliant information release framework.
• Provide guidance and training to Right to Information and Privacy staff and Court staff with a view to developing and optimising performance if required.
• Provide expert advice and assistance to internal and external stakeholders on the implementation of, and compliance with, information release policies, procedures and legislation.
• Develop and maintain key relationships with courts and stakeholders to ensure client needs are being appropriately addressed.
