As a Clinical Facilitator, Bachelor of Nursing, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of Nurses through applied learning and clinical education.  In this hands-on position, you will guide students in simulated clinical environments, supporting their ability to link theory with practice and develop the confidence and competence required for real-world healthcare settings. Your expertise will ensure our students meet the highest standards of nursing education and regulatory compliance

About the Position – Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and assess students’ clinical skills within simulated laboratory settings, ensuring alignment with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia standards. 
  • Mentor students through practical sessions, providing constructive feedback and fostering a positive learning environment. 
  • Maintain accurate records of student assessments and contribute to quality improvement processes. 
  • Support the nursing team in delivering high-quality, industry-relevant education using diverse teaching strategies. 
  • Promote and model TAFE Queensland’s values, contributing to a culture of safety, collaboration, and customer focus. 

About You – Key Capabilities: 

  1. High-level clinical skills and ability to apply them across areas of specialty. 
  2. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and experience facilitating clinical education. 
  3. Proven ability to build and sustain productive relationships with students and stakeholders. 
  4. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a commitment to student success. 
  5. Ability to innovate and adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse learner needs. 

Mandatory Requirements: 

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA. 
  • Bachelor of Nursing qualification. 
  • Minimum 5 years post-graduate clinical experience. 

Highly desirable: 

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent). 
  • Recent clinical practice and experience as a clinical facilitator.

Casual Pay Rate: $77.55 per hour, plus 12.75% employer superannuation contributions.
