An opportunity exists to join a committed team of Gastroenterologists whose key areas of responsibility include running a busy tertiary level Endoscopy Service (~7000 cases per year), general Gastroenterology and Hepatology clinics, participating in the Gastroenterology Outreach program, teaching and mentoring as well as undertaking Clinical Research activities. The subspecialty focus of this role is interventional endoscopy.

Purpose of the role
As a Staff Specialist (Gastroenterologist, Interventional Endoscopist) you will be a valuable and valued team member. You will work with the Director of Gastroenterology, Cairns Hospital, to ensure the Gastroenterology services we provide are of the highest standard and delivered safely, reliably and efficiently.
Your opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist (Gastroenterologist, Interventional Endoscopist) to facilitate the delivery of high-quality care to patients of the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.
Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) evidence as required for your employment in accordance with legislation/government policy and Directives.
