Join QEII Jubilee Hospital as a General Practitioner with Special Interest (GPwSI) in Urology in a temporary full-time 12-month role. You’ll deliver high-quality outpatient care for non-surgical urology conditions, support post-surgical and surveillance clinics, and work closely with consultant urologists to improve access, continuity and patient outcomes across primary and secondary care.

Your new role:

In this role, you will provide comprehensive urology outpatient services within your approved scope of practice, under the supervision and guidance of consultant urologists. You'll manage new and review patients, support shared care with general practice, and contribute to quality, audit and service improvement activities.

You will:

  • Deliver outpatient assessment and management of non-surgical urology conditions
  • Manage clinics including prostate cancer/PSA surveillance, BPH, UTIs and voiding issues
  • Treat new and review patients coordinated by the Urology team
  • Provide advice and management plans to referring GPs and primary care partners
  • Support post-surgical and malignancy surveillance cohorts

 

About you:

You are an experienced GP with a strong interest in urology and a commitment to collaborative, patient-centred care. You communicate effectively across primary and secondary care and value quality improvement and continuous learning.

You will bring:

  • MBBS (or equivalent) with AHPRA registration
  • Fellowship with RACGP (FRACGP) or ACRRM (FACRRM)
  • Demonstrated interest and capability in urology clinical practice
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills across care settings
  • Commitment to clinical governance, audit and service improvement

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.

We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
