Your new role:
In this senior role, you will provide specialised clinical and consultancy physiotherapy services within the Emergency Department. You'll apply advanced clinical judgement, act as a clinical reference point and lead the development of evidence-based practices, protocols and innovative models of care, while supporting staff capability, research and quality improvement.
You will:
- Deliver advanced primary and secondary contact physiotherapy in ED with high autonomy
- Provide expert clinical consultancy and leadership for Emergency Department physiotherapy
- Apply advanced clinical judgement in assessment and treatment of complex presentations
- Lead development, review and implementation of ED physiotherapy practices and protocols
- Act as a clinical reference point and mentor for less experienced clinicians
About you:
You are an experienced physiotherapist with advanced expertise in emergency or acute musculoskeletal care and a strong passion for clinical leadership. You thrive in fast-paced environments, influence practice positively and contribute to service excellence through evidence-based care and collaboration.
You will bring:
- Advanced clinical expertise in emergency, acute or musculoskeletal physiotherapy
- Strong leadership, mentoring and clinical supervision capability
- High-level communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to lead change, service improvement and innovative models of care
- Experience contributing to research, audits and quality initiatives

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
