The purpose of this role is to provide clinical expertise and consultancy through advanced clinical leadership relevant to the Complex Epilepsy and /or Neuromuscular speciality. The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) provides direct and indirect care as required and works in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager, Nurse Educator and wider health care team support the clinical unit in provision of safe quality healthcare through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice for the Complex Epilepsy and Neuromuscular sub-speciality services.

About the Team

The Queensland Paediatric Neurosciences Service is a state-wide Level 6 paediatric medical service providing inpatient and outpatient care for patients with highly complex neurological disorders and acute, chronic and rare disease profiles.

About the Role

In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values.

You'll fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award - State 2015 - Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 7 and the Queensland Health and Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQHHS) commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
