In the role of Senior Engineer (Civil) you will project manage the delivery of multiple road and public transport infrastructure projects through the provision of high-level technical expertise and the administration of contracts to support the design, construction and maintenance processes.

Accountabilities include:

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of systems and processes in the whole of life project / contract delivery to ensure cost certainty, delivery of project outcomes, value for money and best practice are achieved.
  • Ensure all quality management procedures are adhered to facilitate the delivery of road and public transport projects to a high and consistent standard for both Transport and Main Roads and clients.
  • Working with TMR as an internal customer, local government, and other agencies as a customer to define clear scope, budget and timelines.
  • Proper identification of handover deliverables and standards, and timing for handover with TMR customers.
  • Undertake meetings with public utility plant authorities upon commencement of a project to package relocation works with minor works contracts prior to main construction works.
  • Administer contracts with design consultants to ensure the project's time and cost certainty.
  • Undertake project management, contract management and administration of road infrastructure projects.
  • In managing projects, you will have the responsibility to plan, assign, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of TMR project support staff and design consultant that would include encouraging teamwork and fostering a positive attitude toward the achievement of organisational objectives.
