An exciting opportunity currently exists for you to join the Integrated Medicine, Emergency, Child and Youth Services as a Principal House Officer (Registrar in Medicine). You will deliver highly specialised outreach programs to the Torres and Cape Health Service as well as across the Cairns district, giving registrars exposure to diverse patient populations, rural medicine, and First Nations health.

About your role:
- This position, Registrar/Principal House Officer in Medicine, requires the provision of high-quality clinical care to the patients of Cairns Hospital, under the supervision of staff specialists.
- You will rotate through General & Acute Care Medicine and a wide range of subspecialties, ensuring broad clinical exposure while allowing flexibility to pursue career interests.
- Hands-on experience in acute care, ward-based management, outpatient clinics, and procedural skills.
- Regular structured teaching, bedside learning, and access to exam preparation support.
- Mentorship from senior clinicians, with opportunities to participate in quality improvement, leadership, and medical education activities.
