Your Key Accountabilities:
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Recommend as required, and coordinate the approved issue of withdrawal, suspension, revocation, replacement and surrender of licences, permits or authorities as required by legislation, standards and guidelines.
- Coordinate the processing of applications and correspondence in accordance with relevant legislation, standards and guidelines.
- Deal with escalated enquiries from internal stakeholders and external clients and determine if further attention is required and/or make referrals to the appropriate areas.
- Resolve incomplete applications, and application discrepancies, by liaising with applicants, stakeholders, Unit and Service staff.
- Prepare and provide advice and correspondence for the senior management of Weapons Licensing and submissions for judicial proceedings.
- Maintain current office systems, policies and procedures, within an environment of continuous improvement, to ensure Unit and Service performance targets are met.
- Actively participate in a team environment and support a positive workplace culture.

- There is a permanent position and multiple temporary positions available until the 30 June 2026, with the possibility of extension. If selected for a temporary position, public service officers from other agencies will be seconded for the period concerned, subject to agreement and release by the home agency.
