This temporary part-time role works closely with the Executive Director Allied Health to deliver high-quality, evidence-based insights that support service performance, planning and clinical decision-making across Allied Health!

About your role

As the Senior Business Intelligence Specialist – Allied Health, you will provide expert leadership in business intelligence, analytics and data governance to support Allied Health services across Metro South Health.  Reporting directly to the Executive Director Allied Health, you will design, develop and deliver contemporary data solutions that enable reliable reporting, improved data quality and informed decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the design and delivery of high-quality analytics, reporting and data models to support Allied Health clinical activity, service and business performance
  • Developing innovative and contemporary data management frameworks, including minimum data sets and repeatable reporting methodologies
  • Providing technical leadership, consultancy and mentoring to support allied health analytics capability and continuous improvement
  • Defining and shaping analytics solutions that enable evidence-based decision-making for senior leaders and service managers
  • Collaborating with digital health, data warehousing and business intelligence stakeholders to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and best practice

About you

You are a highly skilled business intelligence professional with a strong understanding of healthcare data and analytics. You enjoy translating complex data into meaningful insights and working collaboratively with clinical and executive stakeholders to improve service outcomes.

You will bring:

  • Advanced expertise in business intelligence, data modelling, analytics and reporting within complex information environments
  • Strong knowledge of information architecture, data quality frameworks and governance standards
  • Experience working with contemporary patient information systems and analytics tools
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and advise at a senior level
  • Highly developed organisational and planning skills, enabling you to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within tight timeframes
  • While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded
