An exciting opportunity is available to become a significant member of the team of QAS High Performance Managers, and presents a rewarding opportunity to contribute directly to the success of Australia's elite athletes as they strive towards their performance goals.

As we continue our journey towards Los Angeles 2028 and Brisbane 2032, 2026 represents an important milestone. The coming year will see QAS-supported programs playing a key role in preparing athletes for the Milan-Cortina Winter Games, the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, and a range of international competitions, including World Championships.

This role will support the partnership between QAS and AUS Cycling to deliver successful outcomes for the AusCycling Acceleration & Action Centre of Excellence (supporting Track Sprint, BMX Freestyle and BMX Racing) and the QLD QAS Cycling Development program.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with proven international performance experience and a track record of delivering high-performance outcomes.

The successful candidate will work closely with AUS Cycling to ensure organisational KPIs for the Cycling Programs are achieved.

Whilst the role is currently aligned with supporting the cycling programs and hence demonstrated high performance cycling knowledge would be seen as an advantage- it is not an essential criteria - as we are seeking an individual with significant knowledge and experience of delivering high performance sporting outcomes and an ability to support, understand and challenge coaches and their performance support teams as they strive towards delivering ambitious goals.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
•    Build strong, high-impact relationships with athletes, coaches, and performance support teams to develop effective athlete and program plans that are aligned with NSO ‘What It Takes To Win' frameworks and drive medal success.
•    Collaborate to drive open, consistent, and honest communication across NSOs, SSOs, QAS, and system partners to track progress and achieve agreed objectives.
•    Lead and manage QAS high performance sport programs, facilitate performance team meetings, promote effective interdisciplinary collaboration and ensure strategic resource investment.
•    Support coach development by actively engaging in performance reviews, shaping development plans and professional growth across the high-performance network.
•    Partner with coaches and performance support staff to monitor athlete performance, solve challenges, and refine training plans using actionable performance insights.
•    Ensure high-quality data informs evidence-based decisions that bring about positive performance impacts.

The QAS is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all athletes, children and young people that are involved in QAS supported sport programs.

We are committed to an environment where athletes from any background are heard, treated fairly and free from abuse.
