Within a credentialed scope of practice, the Nurse Practitioner provides nursing leadership, clinical governance, complex care coordination and support for patients of the Palliative Care Service.

About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated relevant clinical expertise to the level required within mandatory qualifications section.
- Demonstrated advanced and effective interpersonal and written communication skills to enable accurate, complete, and timely assessment, diagnosis, determination and information transfer to patients; their family / carers; nurses; or health professionals team members to support patient-centred care and staff's professional development.
- Demonstrated knowledge of legislation and policy relevant to the position and the ability to develop documents supporting the application of same within healthcare workplaces.
- Leadership proficiency through the articulation of team engagement principles and personal attributes that influence a positive team culture and achieve active collaboration across multidiscipline services.
- Proficiency in the establishment of therapeutic relationships, incorporating health education, advocacy and culturally competent professional practices that facilitate achieving patient identified goals and optimised health experiences.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with Endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with AHPRA and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
