Successful applicants may be offered casual opportunities assisting with food preparation, meal distribution, retail and catering services while maintaining food safety and hygiene standards across the hospital.

Your new role:

In this role, you will support day-to-day food service operations, ensuring meals and retail services are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard within a busy hospital environment.

You will:

  • Assist with food preparation, meal assembly and distribution
  • Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
  • Operate and clean food service equipment safely
  • Support retail services, catering and special functions
  • Complete basic records and participate in quality activities

 

About you:

You are reliable, team-focused and take pride in delivering quality service. You follow instructions well, adapt to change and work safely in a fast-paced environment.

You will bring:

  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Strong teamwork skills and a positive work ethic
  • Ability to follow procedures and safety requirements
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Willingness to learn, train and work rostered shifts

About us:

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.

We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
